Job Purpose

Legal and Compliance Operations department is looking for a Legal Operations Specialist to become part of the newly formed legal entity management team that will centralize and optimize all activities around the management of AkzoNobel’s entities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of legal entity data, supporting paralegals and Corporate Secretariat with topics around the legal entities and assisting the project team in establishing best practices around the management of legal entities.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Ongoing administration of legal entity data (director data changes, registration of changes to the power of attorney, registering office changes etc.)
  2. Acting as the first line of support for any enquiries on legal entity data for business users and Legal / Intellectual Property / Corporate Secretariat teams
  3. Drafting and reviewing simple ad-hoc entity board resolutions and corporate resolutions (templated)
  4. Supporting finance team with activities around managing statutory accounts for annual compliance
  5. Supporting onboarding of legal entity directors
  6. Periodical data quality checks and review of controls
  7. Project support for the implementation of new legal entity management system in 2025
  8. Proactively work with paralegals, Corporate Secretariat and regional legal counsels to improve data quality and the processes around managing legal entities.
Experience
  1. Academic degree in business administration, legal studies or a related field
  2. 2-3 years of experience in legal entity management, corporate governance, or a related field, preferably within a global or multinational organization. Alternatively, experience working as a (junior) paralegal or in a legal support role.
  3. Familiarity with corporate governance and compliance concepts, as well as general understanding of legal entities.
  4. Strong data administration skills.
  5. Experience in conducting data quality checks and maintaining data integrity.
  6. Understanding of the importance of compliance in managing statutory accounts and legal entity records.
  7. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to interact effectively with business users, legal teams, and other stakeholders
