To execute this transformation, we need people who take the lead in defining standards and guardrails of working and providing technical leadership to key custom built software products. The tech lead will take technology decisions, lead development and mentor team members for delivery of products being built.

As an AI Tech Owner, you will blend deep domain expertise with a passion for coaching and developing people. You will be committed to maintaining and developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring your thought leadership to the productâs development. You will bring expertise in full stack AI development, performance, and stability of custom-built products. This tech owner role oversees all aspects of backend development including API and core functional logic, with add on skill of frontend development. This may include developing API development, backend development in technologies like python, Typescript, React. Work would also involve documentation of all designs and development. It would be required to attend agile ceremonies and demo/present the development work incrementally.

Among your responsibilities, you will:
  • Deliver products outcomes
    • Be a partner to the product owner, leading development and owning on-time delivery of the software/AI product ensuring squad deliveries are completed on time with quality
    • Sharing expertise with squad members and working cross-functionally to advance the work of the Squad.
    • Partner with product owner to ensure non-functional requirements, technology upgrades receive priority while prioritizing backlog for development
  • Develop Self & Squad members
    • Staying abreast of relevant developments and innovations in domain area, both internally and externally.
    • Maintaining your own technical knowledge through learning and continuous improvement.
    • Oversee and provide feedback to Chapter lead to help develop squad members improve domain knowledge and better serve the squads in which they work
    • Discussing technology roadmap and opportunities with the Tech Area Lead
  • Share knowledge and expertise within and outside of the Chapter
    • Ensuring the âhowâ of the work performed by Chapter members is aligned with established technical roadmaps and guardrails to drive strategy.
    • Sharing relevant insights and developments within area of expertise and external trends with the squad members and Tech Area Lead.
    • Actively sharing knowledge and expertise across the organization with other Chapters.
  • Identify technical needs throughout the organization
    • Engaging Product Owners, Tribe Leads, and Tech Area Leads to build technology roadmap for the product including security, compliance and performance needs.
    • Identifying expertise and resource gaps and elevating to Chapter Lead as input to future hiring, talent development and training.
  • Enable the organizationâs new way of working
    • Modelling behaviors to support the organizationâs transformation to a new way of working.
    • Actively creating and maintaining a positive culture along-with Chapter lead based on Agile leadership behaviors.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
⢠Total 8+ yearsâ relevant software development experience, including experience leading development teams and solving complex problems for business functions.
⢠Significant expertise in product software development, with a desire to remain âhands onâ.
⢠5+ years of experience in Python.
⢠3+ years of experience in react.
⢠Working knowledge of typescript.
⢠Lead-level full-stack coding experience Backend/API (node.js, Python), Front end/UI (React.js)
⢠Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. Python, Node JS, Typescript).
⢠Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. React, Node.js, HTML/ CSS, JavaScript).
⢠UI/front-end tools and frameworks, APIs, relational databases and other persistence technologies, integration tools and strategies, etc..
⢠Strong understanding of Cloud offerings (AWS) and capabilities.
⢠Strong understanding of working with 3rd party APIs (e.g. OpenAI API)
⢠Strong software design & development principles, with a focus on system stability, reusability and performance optimized for a global audience.
⢠Experience leveraging DevOps tools and principles.
⢠Experience leveraging database technologies like SQL, Postgres, AWS S3, etc.
⢠Experience in Agile Methodologies, establishing a culture of continuous improvement, understanding, and applying a âservant leaderâ mindset.
⢠Strong communications, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
⢠Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working within rapidly changing environment.
⢠Familiarity with machine learning concepts and integrating with models would be a plus
