The ICS Operational Excellence Team is responsible for enabling growth through implementation of an effective framework that drives efficiency, accountability, and a strong control environment. Through a collaborative partnership with Global Risk & Compliance, Product Management, Marketing, Global Banking, and Technologies, the Operational Excellence team drives a robust first line of defence for ICS and advises our partners on how to effectively balance business growth objectives with appropriate controls. This framework consists of several core components, grouped into pillars, including governance, risk assessment, business, and environment internal control factors, and reporting and monitoring. 

How will you make an impact in this role?

  • Establishment of the Business Conduct program in the APAC markets.

  • Supporting the continuous development and expansion of the ICS Business Conduct Program.

  • Regularly connecting with Sales leaders to explain coaching opportunities and share findings from the Call Monitoring.

  • Stakeholder / Steering committee facilitation (coordinating the development of materials / minuting / tracking actions etc).

  • Training development - Working in collaboration with existing OE team, Business leads, central training function & compliance officers and Colleague relations to enhance the training capabilities associated with the sales practices program.

  • Issues & risk documentation, tracking – must have a clear understating of Risk & issue management and prior experience working with senior leaders to develop mitigation / action plans to address risks.

  • Collaboration with the central team and with second line, to monitor development of Business Conduct program to ensure risks/ issues, enhancements and learnings from the other markets are leveraged into the international plan as applicable.

  • Assist in the design of adequate control environment to monitor the Sales practices/ Business Conduct program.

  • Create end-end process documentation and associated operating procedures / policies as required to enhance existing or rollout new control environment capabilities – ensuring all relevant approvals are secured and audit trail of changes maintained.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate/ Postgraduate with minimum 4 years of experience in related field.

  • Strong relationship building experience / ability to develop relationships with key ICS business partners and stakeholders across Compliance, Legal and Colleague relations teams.

  • Understanding of ICS Products and selling Channels and/or experience working with audit, compliance, operational risk and/or control functions would be preferred.

  • Knowledge of systems like NICE / One Force is beneficial.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Overall 4 years’ experience preferably in Operational Excellence, Compliance, Internal Audit, Operational Risk or a related discipline.
