The Role

  • Collaborates with users to understand requirements and translate into test plans, ensuring product quality in own and other’s work and using extensive testing engineering skills.

  • Identifies the test scope and co-ordinates the test environment set-up, contributing to complex aspects of a project.

  • Ensures all test issues are documented and analysed and provides feedback and recommendations for product or design changes.

  • Develops internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.

  • Keeps abreast of the latest technologies and identifies areas for continuous improvement.

  • Contributes in identifying areas where process and service improvements can be made and develops recommendations.

  • Contributes in conducting training and knowledge transfer sessions on business processes.

  • Contributes on the established best testing practices within the team.

  • Works closely with Development, Product/Business Analysts, and other Software Engineering functions to ensure high quality on-time delivery

  • Works with the team in assessing opportunities to strengthen definition of done and get us closer to delivering working software at the end of every sprint.

  • Help drive effective Agile Scrum practices to meet/exceed softwareengineering goals. Embrace and contribute to the team's Agile philosophyAbility to carry out manual testing and have ability to automate the task to speed up the process.

  • Creates high quality acceptance tests from acceptance criteria and quality standards that help the scrum team understand the value of the user story from the user's perspective.

  • Collaborates with team members, both locally and globally.

  • Contributes on the building of the team’s technical expertise/capabilities/skills through the delivery of regular feedback and knowledge sharing.

  • High learning adaptability, demonstrating understanding of the implications of technical issues on business requirements and / or operations The Requirements

  • A Bachelor's/College Degree would be beneficial and extensive and of experience in a technology related discipline, such as IT or Engineering is required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Demonstrate understanding of SDLC process. Experience in Agile/Scrum framework.

  • Creates test scenarios from functional requirements and/or User Stories using the Gherkin format

  • Contribute to testing strategy for product that lead to high quality releases

  • Experience in writing SQL queries

  • Manages time effectively by placing the right focus on value added operations.

  • Knowledge of tools and techniques used in manual testing.

  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and how it impacts testing: JavaScript, Ajax, JQuery, CSS, XML, Angular, load balancing, single/multi tenancy, and rational database design concepts

  • Deeply understands practices of agile software development

  • Create and drive Regression testing strategy for product

  • Automation Testing with any programming language and Selenium

  • Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, Quality Centre test tools
