Operational excellence

· Daily postings of cash / bank receipts to appropriate general ledger accounts and verify details of transactions,

· Process customer account adjustments (Write offs, reclasses, refunds etc)

· Ensure accurate cash postings in customer accounts based on bank statement

· Accurate matching and Clear/offset Open items in customer accounts

Research and Reconciliation

· Research unidentified payments for proper posting

· Research and resolve unapplied receipts

· Assist in identifying and resolving payment discrepancies

· Perform Customer accounts reconciliations

· Perform reconciliation of daily deposits to the cash postings

Audit support

· Provide backup support to other groups in the accounting, credit departments

· Respond to all internal and external audit queries in time

· Work with collections team to verify status of delinquent accounts and solicit payments on overdue accounts

Closing and Month end Support

· Responsible for month-end closing activity including report generation and distribution

· Ensuring all payments applied and accounting requests are completed before AR books close

· Make sure All Bank interim accounts are reconciled

· Improve Cash processing productivity

· Implement Lean or process improvements idea.

· Actively participate in the Automations in process

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce

  • 2+ years of Cash application experience, preferably in SAP

  • Should be handling ECH/wires and Lock box processes

  • SAP hands on experience, with SAP Auto Bank knowledge added advantage

  • Supporting AR projects

  • Excel advanced level knowledge

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
