Join us as a Regulatory Assurance Analyst

  • You’ll contribute to the quality and effective assurance reviews of our prudential regulatory reporting across the bank by undertaking allocated tasks within the engagement life cycle
  • We’ll look to you to support and work with stakeholders of businesses under review, helping to drive engagement and collaboration with financial assurance reviews
  • Working closely with a range of stakeholders and executives, you'll raise your profile across the bank and be able to further advance your career
  • We're offering this role at associate vice president level

    What you'll do

    As a Regulatory Assurance Analyst, you’ll be responsible for leading small financial assurance reviews or contributing to larger more complex work to produce effective engagement reports and opinions that are influential.

    You’ll also be supporting the delivery of our rotational risk-based coverage plans that address regulatory requirements and provide assurance and opinions with impact.

    Additionally, you’ll be:

    • Assessing the risks and controls, undertaking testing, effectively contributing to continuous monitoring by undertaking analysis of MI or reviews of risk information
    • Supporting the key aspects of financial assurance reviews and assurance planning
    • Contributing to financial assurance reviews that provide robust assurance opinions which identify material risks, helping drive improvement in the bank’s control environment
    • Engaging with business stakeholders through financial assurance reviews, ensuring you have a good understanding of risks Leveraging the Financial Assurance agreed methodology and tools along with managing your own workload, ensuring quality delivery on time that’s within scope and budget
    • An ambassador for Financial Assurance, demonstrating professional behaviours and helping to build on the reputation and integrity of the team

      The skills you'll need

      To thrive in this role, you’ll demonstrate the ability to analyse and interpret complex information and make sound judgements and recommendations in a collaborative manner. With at least 10 years of experience, you’ll also need a strong regulatory knowledge especially around Basel concepts.

      We’ll also expect you to have:

      • Knowledge of jurisdictional regulatory environment and the prudential regulations and associated reporting outcomes
      • Strong system knowledge of FRANK architecture, static tables and SAS coding
      • The ability to build and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders
      • Experience and knowledge of risk and controls and regulatory management
      • The ability to assess and prioritise data effectively
      • Good communication skills with analytical and problem-solving abilities
