As a Business Analyst specializing in Commercial Lending, you will play a key role in understanding and translating business requirements into technical solutions. Working closely with stakeholders, you will analyze and document business processes related to commercial lending, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement effective solutions. You will bring a combination of business acumen, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of commercial lending practices.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document commercial lending requirements. Conduct interviews, workshops, and surveys to gather information from various stakeholders. Analysis and Documentation: Analyze and document existing commercial lending processes, workflows, and business rules. Identify areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and risk mitigation. Data Analysis: Work with large datasets to extract meaningful insights related to commercial lending performance. Analyze credit risk, loan portfolio trends, and other relevant financial metrics. Solution Design: Develop detailed business requirements and specifications for commercial lending system enhancements. Collaborate with IT and development teams to design and implement technical solutions. Stakeholder Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration between business users, IT teams, and other relevant departments. Provide ongoing support and clarification on requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Testing and Quality Assurance: Participate in testing activities to ensure that commercial lending solutions meet business requirements. Conduct user acceptance testing and facilitate the resolution of any identified issues. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in commercial lending. Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in processes and systems.
SKILLS
Must have
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 12+ years of proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on Commercial Lending, in the banking or financial industry.
- Strong understanding of commercial lending processes, loan origination, and credit risk assessment.
- Proficient in data analysis, including the ability to work with complex datasets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Nice to have
• Experience with commercial lending software and systems. • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in commercial lending. • Familiarity with Agile or other project management methodologies.
