As an Officer with State Street Global Advisorsâ Global Institutional Group, you will take an active role in managing RFP process, with responsibility to ensure the team creates accurate, high-quality, and compelling requests for proposal, requests for information and due diligence questionnaires for prospective institutional clients and consultants. You will be part of a global team responsible for:

  • Ensure the team creates accurate, high-quality, and compelling requests for proposal, requests for information and due diligence questionnaires for prospective institutional clients and consultants
  • Review the documents created by Senior RFP Specialists to check for quality on correctness of the information and data
  • Work with client facing and Product teams to analyze the changes required to the process
  • Ensure the firm brand, product messaging, and tone are consistent throughout the documents created by the RFP writers
  • Mitigate risk involved in the RFP process by working with subject matter experts to ensure that language and data meet regulatory requirements
  • Continually looking for ways to improve and simplify the RFP teamâs processes through automation
  • Maintaining and logging information for RFP reporting metrics
  • Pitch in, when required, to prepare complex RFPs and DDQs
  • Along with the above, you may be managing 4-5 members Proposals Management team in Bangalore office

This role is part of the Global Proposals Management Team and in that role you may also matrix report to Global Head of the process.

Education and experience requirements

  • Graduate or above, preferably an MBA graduate with specialization in finance
  • Very good communication skills written and spoken
  • 7-8 years of work experience in Asset management
  • Minimum 5 - 6 years of experience in Proposals/RFP domain
  • Very good understanding of financial industry and various asset classes like Equity, Fixed Income etc.
  • Exposure to Mutual Funds and ETFâs is expected
  • Pursuing CFA Level 3 or completed Level 2 would be an added factor

This position requires:

  • Understanding of the asset management business, basic financial concepts, and regulations as well as knowledge of various asset classes, different investment products, and market segments
  • Comprehensive understanding of the products you support
  • Strong managerial skills, project management, analytical thinking, problem solving, research, time management, and verbal and written communication skills
  • Capacity for differentiated thinking and ability to challenge the status quo in order to drive optimal outcomes
  • Excellent editing and proofreading skills
  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to understand and communicate investment data
  • Acute attention to detail
  • You are collaborative by nature with the capability to help team members achieve more, working with local and global teams
  • An ability to form and cultivate positive relationships with internal and external partners across all levels of the organization
  • An ability to take ownership, initiative and successfully navigate within a demanding and international environment of a leading global financial institution
  • You to thrive in a highly regulated environment that demands full compliance with policies and procedures
  • You to have a positive attitude that motivates and inspires others
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically MS Word and Excel
