Your Impact

 

The Director of the Marketing COE is responsible for consulting with the Marketing leadership team, leading and managing the strategic direction, development, and implementation of a high functioning COE, integral to the marketing team and able to deliver critical initiatives and support to the organization. The COE will work closely with various Marketing teams to ensure alignment with team objectives, standards, and industry best practices.

The COE role requires a blend of strategic thinking, leadership, project management, and marketing expertise.

 

What the role offers

 

1. Center of Excellence Leadership:

- Build, grow and lead a high-performing and highly engaged Marketing COE team

- Recruit, onboard, and develop talent within the COE, fostering a high-performing and collaborative team environment.

- Develop and communicate the vision, mission, and strategic objectives of the COE

- Create a sense of community and strong team spirit

- Provide feedback, guidance, mentorship, and support to team members to foster professional growth and development.

- Develop, oversee, coordinate and implement processes, standards, and best practices to drive marketing excellence across the organization.

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the COE, including resource allocation, budget management, and performance tracking

- Partner with dotted line Marketing leaders on performance evaluations, merit planning etc

2. Strategic Planning and Collaboration:

- Develop and execute marketing activities through the COE which are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and activities.

- Provide regular reports and insights to senior leadership on COE ROI and effectiveness.

- Partner with Marketing Leaders to identify further opportunities for work to be led from within the COE.

 

What you will need to succeed

- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

- Proven track record of success in marketing and leadership roles, with at least 10 years of experience.

- Prior experience of working within a COE is a must.

- Deep understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics across various channels (digital, traditional, etc.).

- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.

- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in analytics tools and platforms.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
