HR Head ( Retail)
Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced HR Head to lead our HR department in the retail sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources management, a deep understanding of retail operations, and the ability to drive HR initiatives that support the company's overall business objectives. As the HR Head, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs to attract, retain, and develop top talent while fostering a positive and inclusive work culture.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR Planning: Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with the company's business goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior management to identify HR priorities and initiatives that drive organizational success.
- Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Lead the recruitment efforts for all levels of positions within the retail organization. Develop recruitment strategies, oversee job postings, conduct interviews, and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for employees and managers on HR-related matters. Manage employee relations issues, conduct investigations when necessary, and promote a positive work environment.
- Performance Management: Implement performance management systems and processes to set clear expectations, provide feedback, and evaluate employee performance. Develop performance improvement plans and support career development opportunities.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs for employees at all levels. Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development to support employee growth and engagement.
- HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and company policies. Stay updated on HR best practices and industry trends to mitigate risks and maintain a fair and inclusive workplace.
- HR Metrics and Reporting: Develop and analyze HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Employee Engagement and Retention: Develop and implement initiatives to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention. Conduct employee surveys, analyze feedback, and implement action plans to address areas of improvement.
- Leadership and Team Management: Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the HR department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is preferred.
- Proven experience as an HR Head in the retail industry, with a minimum of 15 years of experience.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and the unique HR challenges within the retail sector.
- Knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws. Experience with HRIS and other HR tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to align HR initiatives with business objectives.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in HR metrics and data analysis.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
