Job Summary:

As part of the Opportunity to Cash (OTC) IT Team, the Senior Web Application Developer will partner with business Product Owners, Trane Field Sales Organization, IT Product Analysts, back office functional teams, and program sponsors to analyze, define, and implement applications to drive transformation for our users.

Work Sight provides selling tools, product selection tools, data maintenance tools, HVAC project management tools and other tools that help users manage the full life cycle of business opportunities from business lead all the way through project execution and closure for our Trane Commercial HVAC Americas SBU. Our tools are transforming into a modern web-based platform to satisfy the needs of our mobile sales force and Trane customers. This individual will provide IT leadership of the delivery of the new user tools.

Job Responsibilities: (others may be added)

· Partner with business users to understand business processes and requirements, translate them into application requirements, and develop and implement system solutions that improve efficiencies, maximize customer experience, and grow and retain business

· Act as a subject matter expert for assigned systems

· Provide application enhancements, maintenance, and support for assigned systems, including security and accessibility

· Ensure on-time, on-budget, and on-specification delivery of software solutions

· Be involved in and provide ideas and guidance in solution design

· Conduct and partake in code reviews to ensure development best practices

· Work with geographically distributed team members, users, and customers

· Work independently

· Mentor new developers

· Manage risks associated with program implementation and develop risk mitigation strategies.

· Manage projects through all phases of project management methodology, including Agile

· Partner with business users to evaluate, select, and implement vendor software

· Interface with external vendor support service groups as needed

· Define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements

· Communicate with business users within all levels of the organization

· Provide 2nd level support/technical expertise to help desk support personnel

· Limited travel is required

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree in IT, CS, MIS or related IT degree

· 5 or more years of web development, object-oriented programming experience (.NET/C# preferred)

· Having strong knowledge in Angular, React or other front end development knowledge.

· Experience in writing unit tests and writing robust, maintainable code, adhering to industry best practices.

· Experience with software development and testing using Agile methodology with remote teams.

· Database & SQL Experience, preferably with Oracle

· Experience with HTML, Typescript, web services, JSON, XML

· Experience with JavaScript, SQL, MongoDB is a plus

· Understanding of software development & deployment process, including CI/CD.

· Desire to maintain and improve software documentation.

This individual will likely work in one or more Agile teams, with C#/.NET, with code regularly developed, tested and deployed to AWS.
