Job Family Definition:

Provide technology consulting to external customers and internal project teams. Responsible for providing technical support and/or leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customersâ business needs and, consequently, for understanding customersâ businesses. As trusted advisor create and maintain effective customer relationships so as to insure customer satisfaction. Maintain knowledge of leading edge technologies and industry/market domain knowledge. Actively contribute to the companyâs solutions portfolio by providing information ranging from technical knowledge to methodologies based on experience gained from customer projects. Shape technical direction and technical strategies within the organization and for external customers. Accountable for consistent and significant chargeability levels (or expense relief for internal project teams) and for assisting in meeting or exceeding revenue and customer satisfaction goals. Contribute to organizationâs profitability by generating and cultivating new business opportunities and by providing technical support for deal proposal development.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions impact technical components of HPE products, solutions, or services regularly and sustainable. Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Provides expertise and partnership to functional and technical project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Exercises significant independent judgment to determine best method for achieving objectives. May provide team leadership and mentoring to others.

We are looking for a skilled Containers Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in containerization technologies, with a focus on Docker and Kubernetes. As a Containers Expert, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining containerized solutions to optimize application deployment and orchestration.

What youâll do:

Responsibilities:

Containerization Strategy:

• Develop and implement containerization strategies using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to containerize applications for efficient deployment.

Deployment and Orchestration:

• Manage the deployment and orchestration of containerized applications in production and testing environments.
• Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of containerized systems.

Automation: (Good to have).

• Implement automation scripts and tools for the deployment, scaling, and management of containers.
• Integrate containerization into CI/CD pipelines for seamless application delivery.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

• Set up monitoring systems for containerized environments and proactively address performance issues.
• Troubleshoot container-related problems and implement solutions.

Security: (Good to have).

• Implement and enforce security best practices for containerized applications.
• Regularly assess and enhance container security measures.

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelorâs degree in computer science or related IT field is preferred 
• 5+ yearsâ experience in container & automation platforms 
• Relevant experience with following technologies: containers, Kubernetes eco-system Linux OS, automation (IaC) 
• Kubernetes certified admin/developer and/or Rancher Operator preferred / Kubernetes Advanced Certified

Knowledge and Skills:

• Proficiency with Kubernetes and Rancher 
• Experience supporting container-based solutions on an enterprise container platform: Kubernetes eco-system (Calico CNI, Open Policy Agent (OPA), Prometheus/Grafana/AlertManager, Helm v3, Nexus RM, Pod Security Policies and Network Policies with Calico), OS (Linux â CentOS) 
• The ability to support solution architectures as code (Terraform, Ansible and Jenkins) 
• Good understanding of the CNCF landscape 
• Good general infrastructure engineering skills 
• Good general consulting skills 

• Desirable: 

• Familiarity with CICD and DevOps practices 
• Familiarity with identity management basics 
• Familiarity with HA and DR basics
