At OpenText, we are looking for a motivated, highly passionate QA engineer for our development team, which is part of ADM R&D Group, who has the experience, talent, skill set, and confidence to work with a world-class development team at the OpenText Cluj office. You will be responsible for working with the product development team to contribute primarily to the quality of the product, which includes participating in product engineering, understanding, and developing required automated tests and testing infrastructure for the planned releases.  You will have complete ownership of assigned features in terms of quality, schedule, and customer responsiveness.  We seek people with the right blend of skills, education, experience, and attitude to fill these exciting and challenging positions.  Above all, we want people who are smart and reliable.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

 

  • Analyzing Product Specifications and Customer Requirements: Understanding the product specifications and customer needs to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Developing and Implementing Quality Control Systems: Creating and maintaining quality control processes and checks – this includes coding automation tests, writing test plans and quality criteria for R&D.
  • Conducting Audits and Inspections: Verifying compliance with quality standards through routine inspections.
  • Collaborating with Product Development Teams: Ensuring quality is maintained throughout the production process.
  • Identifying Areas for Improvement: Proposing solutions to enhance quality.
  • Documenting Quality Assurance Activities: Creating reports for management.
  • Leading Quality Improvement Projects: Initiating and leading improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with local and remote R&D teams while keeping high visibility and effective communication.

 

 

What you need to succeed:

 

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in coding and using QA software tools and processes.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • A passionate QA Engineer.
  • Team player.
  • Highly organized.
  • Quick to learn and adapt.
  • Through and responsible
  • Exceptional attention to detail, and a proactive mindset
  • Fluent English communication capabilities (verbal and writing)
  • Familiarity with cloud computing and microservices architecture.
  • Experience working with at least one of the leading Cloud providers: AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Experience with playwright, protractor.
  • Understanding of Performance engineering principals.
  • Experience with LoadRunner solutions
  • Experience with JavaScript/NodeJS
  • Experience with Angular or any UI framework
