Job Summary:

Trane Technologies seeks an Indirect Tax Technology Expert based in India (Bangalore) to join its EMEA Indirect Tax Technology Team. The main goal of this position is to assist and support the Tax Technology Managers with the standardization, testing and automation of the tax processes and systems across regions. The position supports the maintenance of multiple Tax applications such as Vertex O Series tax engine and Oracle R12, including tax configuration where needed. The candidate will have the opportunity to assist with the implementation of innovative solutions for indirect Tax compliance across the globe as well as data analytical and reconciliation solutions.

Responsibilities:

· Assist with the production support of the Tax determination solution, Vertex O Series and Oracle R12 in EMEA, LATAM and APAC, and with the development of processes for ongoing maintenance of global indirect tax logic rules in tax engine.

· Troubleshooting in Vertex O series and Oracle R12 to identify gaps leading to potential VAT/GST compliance issues.

· Support with any Oracle or Vertex upgrade and perform the relevant regression testing of the Vertex tax engine.

· Develop standard operating procedures for stakeholders to ensure Tax compliance.

· Assist and support with the deployment of a VAT/GST compliance software and testing of the solution, including real time reporting and digitization projects across EMEA, LATAM and APAC (such as e-invoicing, etc.)

· Assist and support with the implementation and maintenance of Tax data analytics and reconciliation tools.

· Assist with Indirect tax reviews and technical support of cross-functional projects such as the Account Payables processes from a Tax point of view, the set-up of an efficient Procure to Pay function, the review of potential master data gaps, etc.

· Provide Tax Technology trainings to the team as well as other stakeholders.

Qualification:

· Degree in economics, Finance, Accounting or IT, master level

· A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience with large-scale Tax Technology projects and deployments in a multinational environment

Key Competencies:

· Knowledge of Oracle ERP required and knowledge of Vertex O Series Tax engine preferred.

· Knowledge of SQL and/or PL/SQL

· Strong EU VAT and GST knowledge required.

· Experience with VAT/GST compliance matters.

· Knowledge of analytical and reconciliation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI, Tableau, Dataiku

· Team player with excellent analytical skills as well as interpersonal and communication skills

· Problem solver, result oriented.

· Taking ownership of projects and initiatives

· Able to work independently on competing assignments.

· Resistant to stress and able to work in a high paced environment.
