What youâll do:

Job Family Definition:

Researches, designs, develops, configures, integrates, tests and maintains existing and new business applications and/or information systems solutions including databases through integration of technical and business requirements. Applications and infrastructure solutions include both 3rd party software and internally developed applications and infrastructure. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis of business requirements, coding of modifications or new program, creation of documentation, testing and maintenance of applications, infrastructure, and information systems including database management systems. Works within the Information Technology function, obtaining resources and working in support of objectives and strategies. Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies. Typical customers are company end users and various functional areas such as Supply Chain, Research and Development, Marketing, Finance, a business, or the company.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying developed subject matter expertise to solve common and sometimes complex technical problems and recommending alternatives where necessary. Might act as project lead and provide assistance to lower level professionals. Exercises independent judgment and consults with others to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a Global Tax Analyst within our IT team who will be involved in the planning, successful delivery, and ongoing support of Tax functionality and systems, collaborating with various IT and business partners.
  • Strong Understanding of Core Tax Domain Globally US/EU for various Transactions like In-Direct Taxes,VAT,Sales Order, Invoices etc and configure Taxes applicable on each Transaction.
  • Perform code development, Unit testing, System testing, and debugging HPE's Tax applications. like Invoices, Sales order, In-Direct Tax
  • Develop and support Tax integrations with our SAP ERP applications.
  • Collaborate with business users, understand requirements, develop & design specifications and develop IT solutions for support and strategic projects.
  • Help drive the decision making related to optimal systems landscape in constantly changing environment.
  • Work with the Business teams to ensure proper and effective integration of business processes into existing system solutions.
  • Perform operations support and drive the resolution of production support issues.
  • Drive the reduction of support incidents through implementation of long term and sustainable fixes.
  • Create all the artifacts needed as part of the systems development life cycle including design specifications, test cases etc.
  • Create comprehensive documentation about the solutions being developed and provide necessary user training

What you need to bring:

Education and Experience Required:

  • Typically a technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Tax Determination Software Overall 5+ Years with at least 3-5 years of relevant hands-on IT experience with all Tax functionality within an ERP platform using OneSource and Global Next Tax Determination Software.
  • Must have experience on Thomson Rueter OneSource, Global Next, SAP Native tax  
  • OneSource: Must have an expertise on capable of structuring Trans Editors, Product Mappings, Tax Code Qualifiers, Custom Rule configuration, Customer Exemption Certificate functionality & capable to handle content updates.
  • Global Next: Should have an expertise on Integration of Global Next and hands on all the configurations such as Field Mappings, Address Mapping, Custom logic build for any User Exists to utilize in mappings.
  • S4 Tax: Should have expertise on S4 end to end integration flow in Tax Procedure, SD Pricing Procedure & Integration knowledge of FI-MM & FI-SD. Should have Reporting knowledge on Sales/Purchase, Statutory reports such as SAFT, Real Time Reporting/e-Invoicing and VAT/Sales Tax Reporting for all the country requirements.
  • Knowledge Indirect Tax tools like Sovos Taxware, Vertex.
  • Indirect Tax tool integrations with SAP, Ariba, Fieldglass, SAP BRIM etc.
  • Participated in multiple implementations of OneSource Tax and Global Next
  • Strong understanding of Indirect Tax, Withholding Tax, VAT Tax, and other Corporate Tax Functionality on ERP platforms.
  • Software integrated with SAP or other ERP and non-ERP software.
  • In-depth experience in configuration & integration of ERPs with external tax technologies.
  • Good understanding of tax technology landscape, trends, and architecture
  • Experience in troubleshooting tax related issue root cause analysis and resolutions
  • Deep experience in transformation projects through multiple phases using standard & agile methodologies.
  • Able to write functional and technical specifications.
  • Excellent communication, documentation skills, and proficient in English language
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
