The opportunity
Come join Unity as a Senior Accountant and be a key part of our team as we strive to evolve, standardize, and automate our global accounting processes This role will have the opportunity to develop strong, working relationships with cross-functional partners and various levels of management. The candidate could have exposure to various accounting topics such as inter-company, treasury, operating expenses, capital expenditures, leasing, and payroll among other topics.

This is a hybrid role based in our Bangalore office. This position requires working during late evening hours from 2 PM to 11 PM (IST), with a 1-hour lunch break included. Are you available to work during these Non-Shift hours?
What you'll be doing
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP
- Perform monthly P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis
- Support management with company financial activities such as month, quarter and year end close
- Work with external auditors on matters relating to the annual and quarterly financial statement audit
- Identify and Partner with finance and other departments on various projects, including development and improvement of manual processes

- Strong sense of ownership and strong curiosity to learn new things
- Ability to identity gaps in processes and propose solutions
- Related Accounting experience
You might also have
- Progressive experience in accounting and/or audit, with a focus on public, multinational companies and expertise in US GAAP and SOX.
- Chartered Accountant qualification.
- Familiarity with Workday Financials and/or Netsuite, as well as proficiency in Excel and BI tools like Alteryx.
