Role Overview:

The Senior Manager, Marketing Procurement - ISC, part of the Cross-BU APAC organization, will report into Principal, Procurement Business Partner (ISC) & Procurement Hub Lead (Cross-BU APAC) and will be responsible for all category management and sourcing activities for various marketing and sales sub-categories within ISC.

In this role you will.

We have the unique opportunity to drive category excellence within the BU through the development and implementation of category strategies, in partnership with global category teams. This role will partner closely with the business to represent the needs of local stakeholders and local market dynamics to drive value for Haleon.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and execution:

- Create effective sourcing strategies aligned to local business requirements and market nuances, while collaborating with global category leads to implement global best practices in region

- Execute sourcing strategies for spend categories in scope of responsibility, including leading tendering activities, contracting, and supplier management

- Be the local expert in the spend categories within scope of responsibility

- Execute sourcing strategies for spend categories in scope of responsibility aligned with the requirements of stakeholders and business partners with cooperation with Global Categories team.

- Deliver benefits identified in strategies, local, regional and global, through effective and collaborative strategy execution, aligned to assurance of supply (risk management), quality, service, cost and innovation.

- To ensure HALEON's Procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems and methodologies are utilized in a compliant manner in the area of responsibility.

Benefit delivery:

- Deliver benefits to the BU identified in both local and global strategies through effective and collaborative strategy execution, aligned to assurance of supply (risk management), quality, service, cost and innovation

- Ensure financial benefits are managed in accordance with the Procurement Plan and Savings Methodology approach, ensuring business unit and Finance agreement to financial value delivered and transparency on treatment of benefits in the budgeting process

Business partnering & stakeholder management in Haleon:

- Build strategic relationship with a network of senior Haleon local/regional stakeholders, to understand business requirements, identify opportunities to create value and to position Procurement's value proposition.

- Influence key stakeholders and business partners to support strategy development endorse recommend strategies, support execution and agree how benefit delivery will be budgeted

External supplier relationships:

- Build strategic relationships with key regional/local suppliers and lead processes to ensure value is driven from these relationships.

- Influence category teams to ensure regional considerations are considered in global & regional supplier relationships, negotiations, and contracts

- Manage the supply base for the categories within scope through a robust performance management process. Ensure supplier performance is understood and measured.

- Lead all contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance with regional/ local suppliers that will allow Haleon to maximize opportunity

- Develop and Implement Operational excellence strategies and plans for key regional/local suppliers to drive improvements against KPIs.

Qualifications & Skills:

Minimum Level of Education Required: Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Level of Education: Master's Degree

Area of Specialisation: Procurement, Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing

Why is it Required? Role requires ability to develop sophisticated procurement strategies in alignment with business needs. A strong understanding of business and financial analysis is a plus.

Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience:

- 10-15 years of total procurement experience.

- At-least 6-8 years in procurement experience managing categories like Media, Marketing, Sales, Promotional items and Merchandising categories.

- Managing global projects would be an added advantage.

- This role should have strong demonstrated procurement expertise in commercial and contract negotiations, strategic sourcing, Indirect category management, cost model synthesis and supplier relationship management for delivering multi-country, high spend complex engagements.

- Demonstrated experience in navigating through organizational complexity, collaborating simultaneously with multiple teams, influencing without authority, handling escalations and associated business impact.

- Demonstrated experience in understanding and utilising complex business processes in all HALEON supplier transactions, including all risk/regulatory/compliance

- Strong experience in using tools like Ariba or other equivalent sourcing execution technology

- Highly developed business acumen with demonstrated success in delivering a multi-year strategy ensuring competitive commercial advantage

- Demonstrated ability to forge close business relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all management levels

- Contracting experience required, including a thorough understanding of contracting fundamentals and experience with contract planning, negotiation, execution, interpretation and maintenance. Skilled negotiator adept at leading complex negotiations with both external and internal stakeholders

- Good understanding of market drivers effecting category; strong commitment to keeping abreast of trends

- Strong knowledge of finance (cost benchmark, financial audit with key suppliers) and legal matters (contracting)

- Clear understanding of business value, business priorities, and potential implementation risks

- Significant experience working in a matrix (global/ regional) business environment

- Strong networking skills and a proven ability to build productive and collaborative relationships with senior stakeholders and business partners

- Strong analytical, written and verbal communications, and influencing skills

- Ability to work in high pressure environment, often under tight deadlines

- Experience with risk management

- Motivation for professional development and willingness to coach, mentor and train others
