The Trade Data Specialist for Cytiva is responsible for overseeing operational Customs Preferential Origin determination and related classification activities within the Trade Compliance domain ensuring compliance with Customs and FTA related regulations. This position will also work actively across the business to identify areas of cost and supply chain optimization through duty savings opportunities. This individual is responsible for proactively identifying and managing FTA risk to align with Cytiva’s regulatory, business, and financial objectives.

This position is part of the Global Classification and Preferential Origin team located in Pune and will be Hybrid in nature. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Create and maintain robust databases (SQL, MS Access, SFDC Power BI, Power Automate, etc) or equivalent tools to aggregate operational data and provide targeted visualizations and dashboards to support key trade initiatives and daily work, including global visualization of all Global Trade duty savings and special programs.

  • Develop global metrics standard work and SOPs including a robust data mining process to integrate ERP and non-ERP data to support customized Qlik reports to be used by global trade operations team. Include auditing process to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

  • Develop and distribute Global Trade Bowler to track operational KPI.

  • Find automated solutions for high volume, repetitive, trade tasks.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for Key IT related trade initiatives. Lead efforts to create business requirement documentation required for IT enhancement requests.

  • Collect and analyze customs broker reports to identify Free Trade Agreement and other business process opportunities.

    The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or equivalent.

  • Hands-on experience with DBMS systems such as MS SQL, Oracle, and MS Access. Proficient level skills using Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, Power Query, and SharePoint for efficient no-code/low-code development. Experience with Power Query (M Language) functions, parameters, variables, lists, tables, records, and DAX functions.

  • Proficient in Power BI Cloud, including app creation, publishing, and utilizing cloud features. Proficient in VB scripting to develop macros for automation and process improvement. Experience with QlikView/Qlik Sense.

  • Experience in data modeling, database design, and SQL development to ensure effective data organization and retrieval. Ability to apply data processing techniques and flowcharting to streamline data workflows.

  • Utilize skills in data blending, joins, filters, sets, parameters, and table calculations.

  • Strong analytical background with solid 2-3 years of experience in advanced Excel skills demonstrating writing Macros and Power BI Query and or using Visual Basic program to extract information will be advantageous.

  • Ability to participate in CRP testing and implementation of IT related projects with 3rd party suppliers. An inclination to work with various IT related solutions to secure project objectives.
