Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary):

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing and optimizing the IT, Operations, Customer Service, and Admin functions of the Company. This position entails strategic planning, process enhancement, risk management, and ensuring regulatory compliance to drive organizational growth and efficiency. The COO will work closely with the Managing Director (MD) to align operational strategies with the company's overarching goals.

Key Functions & Responsibilities:

A. Strategy Planning:

- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's overall goals.

- Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the organization's vision.

B. Operational Oversight:

- Supervise day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

- Streamline processes to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.

C. Technology Integration:

- Identify and implement technological solutions to improve operational efficiency.

- Assess training needs for employees and organize behavioral & technical programs as per the training calendar.

- Drive digital transformation initiatives to keep pace with industry advancements.

D. Financial Oversight:

- Work closely with finance teams to optimize financial processes and ensure fiscal responsibility.

- Assist in attaining established operational and financial goals.

- Contribute to budgeting and financial planning activities.

E. Risk Management:

- Identify and mitigate operational risks through comprehensive risk assessment.

- Implement risk management strategies to safeguard the company's interests.

F. Regulatory Compliance:

- Stay abreast of regulatory changes and ensure the organization's compliance with relevant laws.

- Liaise with regulatory bodies to address compliance concerns and maintain a strong regulatory standing.

G. Team Leadership:

- Provide effective leadership to operational teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.

H. Stakeholder Communication:

- Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

- Address concerns and build strong relationships with key partners.

I. Reporting Teams:

- Technology, Operations, Customer Service, Admin.

Experience:

- Minimum of 20 to 25 years of relevant experience.

- Proven experience as a senior executive in a leadership role within the financial industry.

- In-depth understanding of NBFC operations, regulations, and market dynamics in India.

- Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Education:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
