Job Family Definition:
The Cloud Developer builds from the ground up to meet the needs of mission-critical applications, and is always looking for innovative approaches to deliver end-to-end technical solutions to solve customer problems.
Brings technical thinking to break down complex data and to engineer new ideas and methods for solving, prototyping, designing, and implementing cloud-based solutions.
Collaborates with project managers and development partners to ensure effective and efficient delivery, deployment, operation, monitoring, and support of Cloud engagements.

Management Level Definition:
Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues within established guidelines and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.
What youâll do:
The Cloud Developer provides business value expertise to drive the development of innovative service offerings that enrich HPE's Cloud Services portfolio across multiple systems, platforms, and applications.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Good programming skills and hands on in any one of Java/Python
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Design and Design Patterns
- Experience in design, development of Applications end to end
- Experience in working on distributed systems and cloud technologies
- Good hands on and understanding of NoSQL DB (Cassandra, MongoDBâ¦) and SQL DB (Postgres)
- Messaging queues (Kafka, RMQ) with good to have experience with Kafka Streams Library
- Experience of developing RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
Networking/NMS exposure a plus
What you need to bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Typically 2-6 years experience.
