Role Description:

The role sits within the Cyber Security Identity Access Management (IAM) Controls Team, which is responsible for delivering exceptional service to internal customers, ensuring cost-effective operations, and providing an operational platform that supports the Global Access Management strategy and future business growth.

The IAM team works in partnership with Global Technology to minimize risks to the bank by preventing inappropriate access to systems. They ensure that electronic assets are effectively monitored, managed, accessed, and protected, allowing only authorized individuals with legitimate business needs to access or modify them. This is achieved through a robust IAM process framework and toolset, with ongoing measurement, monitoring, and reporting on adherence to standards and IT service performance.

Our IAM Vision is to ensure that all individuals have access to the right resources at the right time for the right reasons, delivering quality outcomes while meeting regulatory requirements and managing risk.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the business by ensuring Identity and Access Management (IDAM) control outcomes are met for IT assets and services.
  • Provide a seamless experience for key stakeholders across the Three Lines of Defense (3LOD) by managing, monitoring, and reporting on the effectiveness of controls for IT assets and services.
  • Offer Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on group control operations to ensure residual risks are effectively managed.
  • Understand and implement the design and operation of the IDAM Control Exceptions (ICE) process and related tooling.
  • Monitor and manage the operating effectiveness and residual risk of IT assets and services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance control processes and tooling by developing detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Provide support for control tools, including query triage, troubleshooting, and training for users.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to enhance, streamline, and automate processes.
  • Support stakeholder communications throughout the control management lifecycle.

Experience Required:

  • The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate the following experience:
  • Cyber Security and IAM experience, with a focus on controls and supporting IAM change initiatives to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Technical and architectural expertise is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to make timely, well-informed decisions based on relevant information.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are desirable.
  • Strong background in working within an Identity and Access Management Controls function.
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external auditors and regulators.
  • Advanced data analysis skills to review various application data feeds.
  • Ability to produce comprehensive management information (MI) from data analysis.
  • Proficient in process mapping and improving process efficiency.
  • A track record of accountability and successful, timely delivery of key deliverables.
