Position Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Assistant Content Lead for our Anime/Manga section. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the anime and manga world, along with a knack for identifying trending topics and potential high-traffic content. You will be responsible for sourcing engaging and relevant titles for our anime section, which will then be approved by our content strategists and assigned to our writing teams.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Source 30 high-quality and relevant titles daily for the Anime/Manga section on FandomWire, aligning with our audience’s interests and the latest trends.
  • Collaborate closely with content strategists to get titles approved and ensure alignment with overall content strategy.
  • Monitor anime/manga news, trends, and community discussions to identify potential content opportunities.
  • Maintain a content calendar and ensure a steady flow of diverse and engaging content ideas.
  • Analyze content performance to adjust sourcing strategies and improve traffic and engagement.
  • Communicate effectively with the writing teams to provide clear and concise briefs for each title.
  • Stay updated with the latest anime/manga releases, news, and trends to ensure our content remains fresh and relevant.
  • Report directly to the content strategists and assist in refining content strategies for better reach and engagement.


Requirements:

  • Passion for anime, manga, and Japanese pop culture, with an in-depth understanding of the industry and fandom.
  • Proven experience in content planning, sourcing, or editorial roles, preferably in digital media or entertainment websites.
  • Excellent research skills and the ability to spot emerging trends and viral topics.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and content management systems (experience with WordPress is a plus).
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote setting.
