Primary Functions:


As a Marketing Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth competitive research and analysis to guide our marketing and sales initiatives, as well as influence and inform our go-to-market strategy for new marketing campaigns and adjacent market expansion. In this role, you will also be responsible for analyzing and reporting monthly, quarterly, and annual marketing metrics as they align to corporate goals. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Operations, you will be responsible for coordinating on-going AR program activities such as analyst briefings, events, inquiries, reporting and other core program tactics.


Responsibilities:


Data Analysis and Interpretation:

  • Lead the analysis of market trends, customer surveys and research, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support strategic and tactical decision-making of marketing strategy.
  • Continuously monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing and sales initiatives on company growth and share of market.
  • Collect and present first-party data and customer research recommendations to optimize messaging, sales playbooks, customer touchpoints and orchestration models to maximize pipeline velocity and growth.


Market Strategy Development:

  • Identify insights to support a continuous 3-year growth pipeline, providing research to inform go-to-market plans for existing and new products or services, considering positioning and distribution channels.
  • Assist the marketing and innovation leadership team in identifying category and industry insights to position our brand for success strategically while also collaborating with marketing operations to develop and present actionable recommendations based on first and third-party data analysis.
  • Identify and assess market segments, target audiences, and customer personas.


Competitive Analysis:

  • Monitor and analyze competitors' activities, product/service offerings, and market positioning.
  • Provide recommendations on how to differentiate our products or services in a competitive landscape.
  • Identify potential risks associated with market changes, competitive pressures, or shifts in customer behavior.


Sales and Marketing Optimization:

  • Consolidate and report on monthly sales and marketing datasets for department business reviews.
  • Maintain the integrity of marketing and CRM databases by implementing data hygiene processes, conducting data appending, performing system audits, and enforcing governance measures.


Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a Marketing Support, Sales Support or Enablement role, at a high-growth company within the professional services or technology sector
  • 2+ years experience building and running reports in enterprise CRM platforms
  • 2+ years experience working with analyst firms (ex. Gartner, Forrester, AVIXA)
  • Expert Excel and PowerPoint skills, including experience manipulating large amounts of raw data
  • Ability to analyze and gain insights from market trends, industry reports, and first and third party data to tell holistic story of how it relates to our business
  • Keen attention to detail, financial responsibility, and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment to deliver results and communicate comfortably with stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Finance and other functions
  • Natural curiosity with the ability to think both macro (big picture, strategic) as well as micro (granular, tactical)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Clearly understand technology and can abstract business/solution value
  • Self-starter with an ability to work autonomously and maintain a strong sense of ownership
  • Able to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment
