Job Description: General Manager – Operations

Location: Mumbai (Colaba)

Industry: Overseas Recruitment Agency

Reporting To: Vice President – Operations (India)


Position Overview:

The General Manager – Operations will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operational processes within the organization while coordinating with multiple departments and stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a strategic mindset to enhance operational efficiency and maintain client satisfaction. The General Manager will report to the Vice President – Operations, India, and work closely with department heads, overseas sales teams, and clients.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Operational Management:

•           Develop and implement efficient workflow processes to enhance productivity and quality of service.

•           Generate and review operational reports to assess performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.

2. Coordination with Stakeholders:

•           Collaborate with HODs of various departments to ensure interdepartmental alignment and efficient task execution.

•           Act as a liaison between the Indian team and the overseas sales team, ensuring smooth communication and coordination.

3. Client Relations and Contract Negotiations:

•           Negotiate contracts with Management and partners, ensuring mutually beneficial terms while adhering to company policies.

•           Draft and review legal documents, contracts, and agreements to safeguard organizational interests.

4. Candidate and Agent Management:

•           Address grievances raised by candidates and agents, providing timely resolutions.

•           Ensure the recruitment Reports are transparent, ethical, and aligned with international standards.

5. Reporting and Analysis:

•           Prepare and present operational reports, including recruitment metrics, performance analysis, and client feedback.

•           Analyze trends and provide actionable insights to improve operations and drive business growth.

6. Business Travel:

•           Represent the organization at partners meetings, recruitment drives, and industry events.

Qualifications and Experience:

•           Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or a related field (MBA preferred).

•           Minimum of 8–12 years of experience in operations, and Administration and setting up the office.

•           Proven track record in contract negotiation, legal drafting, and workflow optimization.

Skills and Competencies:

•           Leadership and Coordination: Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.

•           Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including business email etiquette.

•           Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying challenges and delivering practical solutions.

•           Negotiation and Drafting: Expertise in contract negotiations and legal documentation.

•           Analytical Thinking: Proficiency in analyzing data and generating insightful
