Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement within the pharmaceutical industry.- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier negotiation, and contract management.- Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry regulations (e.g., FDA, GMP).- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Profile Overview:


The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, components, and services required for the successful execution of company projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with experience in the pharmaceutical sector and a deep understanding of the regulatory environment.


Accountable and Responsible for :


  • Supplier Management:

Identify, evaluate, and partner with suppliers to source quality materials and components. - Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and compliance with contract terms.


  • Strategic Sourcing:

Analyse market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities. - Implement best practices in sourcing to optimize total cost and enhance product quality.


  • Project Collaboration:

Work closely with project managers/ BPE mangers and engineers to understand the specific procurement needs for each project. Align procurement strategies with project timelines and deliverables.


  • Contract Negotiations:

Negotiate terms, pricing, and delivery with suppliers to secure advantageous agreements. Draft and review contracts ensuring alignment with project requirements and company policies.


  • Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all procurement activities are compliant with pharmaceutical industry standards and regulations. Stay updated on regulatory changes and adjust procurement processes accordingly.


  • Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels and manage the supply chain to prevent delays in production. Utilize inventory management systems to track and forecast material requirements.


  • Risk Management:

Identify and mitigate risks in the supply chain to avoid project disruptions. Develop contingency plans for critical supply issues.
