Position: Head of Retail Operations

Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai, India

Position Type: Full-Time


Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary leadership in the planning, development, and execution of our retail strategy to enhance brand visibility and sales performance across India.

• Retail Expansion: Spearhead the setup of new retail outlets, including but not limited to mall kiosks and airport shops, ensuring they meet our brand standards and are optimized for customer engagement and sales efficiency.

• Channel Development: Innovate and implement strategies for setting up new retail channels, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion in diverse market segments.

• Operational Excellence: Oversee the day-to-day operations of retail outlets, ensuring operational efficiency, high-quality customer service, and compliance with all company policies and regulations.

• Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing retail team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis to stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences, leveraging insights to inform strategic decisions.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, merchandising, and supply chain, to ensure a cohesive approach to retail operations and brand representation.

• Performance Management: Monitor and analyze retail performance metrics, setting and achieving ambitious targets to drive growth and profitability.


Requirements:

• Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in the retail industry, with a proven track record of successfully setting up and managing retail outlets for prominent brands.

• Industry Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of retail operations, including the setup of modern retail formats such as mall kiosks and airport shops. Experience outside the home furnishing industry is preferred.

• Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to lead retail expansion initiatives and develop new channels.

• Leadership: Exceptional leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on mentoring, developing, and motivating team members.

• Analytical Skills: Proficient in market analysis, with a keen ability to interpret data and insights to inform strategic decisions.

• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively collaborating with internal teams and external partners.

• Location: Candidates must be based in Mumbai, with a willingness to travel as required for business needs.
