Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator with extensive expertise in AWS Cloud to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and troubleshooting Linux operating systems and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer Linux operating systems (Redhat/SuSe) with over 10+ years of hands-on experience, including troubleshooting and resolving advanced issues.
  • Manage AWS Cloud environments, including services like EC2, VPC, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, Route53, IAM, Lambda, etc..
  • Expertise in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, IP routing, NAT, and firewalls.
  • Manage network services like DNS, LDAP, HTTP proxies, ensuring smooth functionality and high availability.
  • Implement IT security practices, particularly OS hardening and managing secure AWS environments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Perl, Python, Go, or automation tools like Ansible or CHEF.
  • Migrate workloads from on-prem to AWS and manage VMware and AWS Linux servers.
  • Automate tasks including deployments, backups, and server maintenance using Terraform, Ansible, and scripting.
  • Monitor AWS resource utilization using CloudWatch and improve cloud performance metrics.
  • Experience in storage management (e.g., SAN, NetApp, EMC Networker).
  • Troubleshoot Linux system issues and manage tasks like patch management, volume management, and firewall configuration.
  • Implement security best practices for both Linux systems and AWS cloud environments.
  • Experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, ELF/EFK for logging and monitoring.
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure components including Active Directory, file sharing (SMB), IPtables, and proxies.
  • Knowledge of SAP systems on AWS, including database management and HA configurations (advantageous).
  • Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Required Certifications:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (must have a valid certification).
