Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Support and Leadership:
- Assist the Store Manager in executing sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Act as a sales leader, engaging customers, closing sales, and supporting the sales team in meeting individual and team goals.
- Monitor daily sales activities, providing feedback and coaching to sales staff to improve performance.
- Customer Service Management:
- Ensure that all customers receive excellent service and a high-quality shopping experience.
- Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Support staff in creating a positive and customer-centric environment.
- Staff Supervision and Training:
- Assist in recruiting, training, and developing store staff.
- Supervise staff in the Store Manager’s absence, ensuring that daily tasks are completed efficiently.
- Monitor staff performance, conduct regular evaluations, and provide guidance to enhance productivity.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and store maintenance.
- Ensure the showroom is clean, well-organized, and aligned with company merchandising standards.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to create staff schedules and ensure optimal staffing during peak hours.
- Inventory and Stock Management:
- Assist with inventory management, including stock ordering, receiving, and organizing.
- Conduct regular stock checks and help with maintaining inventory records to ensure accuracy.
- Work closely with the Store Manager to address stock shortages or surpluses and coordinate with suppliers.
- Merchandising and Marketing Support:
- Help implement in-store promotions and marketing campaigns as directed by the Store Manager.
- Ensure product displays are visually appealing and aligned with company standards.
- Monitor market trends and customer preferences to provide input for store promotions.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred).
- Experience: 2-3 years of retail experience, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role (experience in the mattress or furniture industry is a plus).
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with retail software and POS systems.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
