Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the daily operations of music distribution, ensuring efficient processing and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with artists, labels, and distributors to facilitate the release of music content across various platforms.
  • Analyze and optimize workflows to improve efficiency and reduce processing times.
  • Maintain accurate records of music releases, distribution agreements, and royalty payments.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, copyright laws, and contractual obligations.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including artists, record labels, and digital service providers.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to music distribution and processing.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to music distribution, ensuring swift and effective solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in music distribution and management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Music Business, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the music industry, particularly in music distribution or operations.
  • Strong understanding of music distribution platforms, royalty payments, and copyright laws.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Skills:

  • Music Distribution: Managing the distribution of music content across various platforms.
  • Workflow Optimization: Analyzing and optimizing processes to improve efficiency.
  • Compliance: Ensuring adherence to industry regulations and copyright laws.
  • Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining relationships with artists, labels, and distributors.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolving issues related to music distribution and processing.

Preferred:

  • Experience with digital music distribution platforms (e.g., Spotify, Apple Music).
  • Certification in Music Business or a related field.
  • Familiarity with music metadata standards and practices.
