Production Planning & Resource Management

• Study the weekly, N+3 plan received from PPC and distribute tasks within the department (internal planning)

• Review the progress of actual production vs plan at regular intervals within the shift timings; take corrective action if required.

• Ensure and approve requisition for BOM and Non-BOM items & consumables from within the team.

• Review with SCM team, on daily basis, the timely availability of raw material; escalate the issue, if required, to Head - Production

• Ensure adequate manpower availability in each shift; raise contract manpower requisition to HRBP, if required

• Coordinate with design team for clarifications or queries related to drawings, suggest changes in design to ensure smooth manufacturability of parts.

• Deliver the product to the next process owner (or dispatch team, as applicable)

• Ensuring Updated BOM in production according to any design changes from PPC, SCM and Design

• To provide countermeasure on gap analysis for past day production to Head – Production before 9:00 Hrs Ensure closure of production order in SAP timely.


Monitoring & Review

• Review key metrics related to productivity, quality, 5S, Kaizens, cost, safety, morale, capacity utilization etc. with the team and provide guidance to them on improving performance.

• Review performance trends and root cause analysis for gaps, discuss & finalize action plans for improvement, with Head – Production.

• Release daily MIS on daily weekly and monthly basis.

• To ensure inventory as per defined frequency with timely submission of accurate report. Participate & contribute in review meetings for production on a daily, weekly and monthly basis within TAT


Quality Management & Process Improvement

• Ensure self-inspection and self-certification of parts produced / assembled by the team.

• Ensure ‘first part inspection’ process is implemented 100% (applicable for Machine / Fabrication /Paint shop)

• Coordinate with Quality team for timely inspection of the parts produced.

• Capture & analyse data related to part defects, rework, and rejections.

• Conduct a root cause analysis (RCA) / red bin analysis within the quality circle (or with other stakeholders) to identify the cause and define corrective actions to improve quality of process.

• Support & review the implementation of corrective actions and ensure sustenance of improvement

• Ensure accuracy of data & comprehensiveness of data analysis while conducting RCA
