Job Description

  • We are seeking an experienced mainframe lead for our Legacy Modernization (Mainframe) practice, responsible for building mainframe modernization capabilities and solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will have 14+ years of experience in mainframe technologies and forward engineering, with a strong background in technical leadership, technology management and people management.
  • Responsible for leading Mainframe modernization practice, focused on developing cutting-edge offerings, reverse engineering accelerators and solution propositions.
  • Responsible for providing leadership and direction in the planning and execution of the Mainframe to cloud migration (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Lead the Legacy Modernization (mainframe) team in developing and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Experience in working on reverse engineering solutions for mainframe code analysis.
  • Experience in working or leading on the mainframe modernization such as API and DevOps enablement, mainframe re-hosting etc are a plus.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience of medium to large mainframe modernization (OFF the Mainframe to latest cloud technologies) is a MUST.
  • Work closely with partners in joint GTM initiatives, and white labelling their solution propositions.
  • Develop and execute the technology strategy for Legacy Modernization practice.
  • Manage and mentor a team of technical professionals on Legacy Modernization propositions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and develop solutions.
  • Expertise in mainframe technologies such as COBOL (IBM zSeries, UNISYS, Fujitsu, MicroFocus), CICS, DB2, IMS, VSAM, and JCL.
  • Knowledge of TPM / Assembler would be a plus.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP) and modern programming languages (e.g. Java).
  • Proven track record of technical leadership and people management.
  • Nice to have: exposure of Gen AI technologies such as OpenAI, Gemini AI, Watson Z and Amazon Bedrock would be a plus.
