Information Technology Delivery Manager

Job Description
As the IT Delivery Head, you will be responsible for leading the IT department and ensuring the successful delivery of all IT projects. You will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, from initial planning and scoping to final delivery and maintenance. You will be expected to manage client relationships, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and assess and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities of IT Delivery Head
- Oversee all IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Manage the entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to minimize project risks.
- Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation related to projects.
- Analyze performance metrics and conduct cost analysis to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Stay updated with the latest IT applications and technologies, and implement them as needed.
- Make key decisions related to IT project delivery, demonstrating strong business acumen and analytical thinking.
- Manage changes and adapt to shifting project requirements and priorities.
- Have a solid understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, and cloud technologies.
- Proficiently use project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Trello, etc.
- Knowledge of ITSM frameworks like ITIL would be an added advantage.
Functional Competencies
- Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): The candidate should have a deep understanding of the various stages involved in the SDLC, including planning, designing, coding, testing, and maintenance. This knowledge is crucial for overseeing the successful delivery of IT projects.
- Process and Technology Orientation: The candidate should be well versed in the latest technologies and processes in the IT industry. This includes understanding how to leverage these technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- SCOPE Management: The candidate should be proficient in defining and controlling what is included and what is not included in a project. This involves planning, managing, and controlling project activities.
- Client Relationship Management: The candidate should have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients. This includes understanding client needs and ensuring that the IT department meets these needs.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: The candidate should be able to work effectively with different departments within the organization. This involves coordinating with various teams to ensure the successful delivery of IT projects.

- Proficiency with Project Management Tools: The candidate should be proficient in using project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, and Trello. These tools are essential for planning, tracking, and managing IT projects.
- Knowledge of ITSM Frameworks: Knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks such as ITIL is a plus. These frameworks provide a structured approach to IT service management, helping to ensure that IT services are aligned with the needs of the business.
