Job Summary: 

We are seeking an experienced Lead/Senior Backend Cloud Developer to drive the development and management of our backend systems and services which are built for cloud. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable backend services and APIs that power our cloud applications. You will lead a team of developers, ensuring best practices in architecture, security, and performance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. 


Key Responsibilities: 

Technical Leadership: 

- Lead the backend development team, providing technical direction, mentorship, and hands-on support. 

- Architect and develop robust, scalable, and secure cloud-native backend systems. - Establish and enforce best practices in coding, design, and architecture across the team.

  Backend Development & API Design: 

- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring seamless integration with front-end applications

. - Implement database schemas, optimize queries, and manage data storage solutions (SQL/NoSQL).

- Integrate third-party services and APIs, ensuring reliability and performance. - 

Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps:

-Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ensure efficient use of cloud resources and cloud services

- Collaborate with DevOps to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment and monitoring processes.

 - Implement security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and compliance with industry standards. - 

Collaboration & Communication: - Work closely with product managers, front-end developers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions. 

- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and sprint planning, providing expert insights on backend development. 

- Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, providing clear updates on progress and challenges. 

- Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting: 

- Monitor application performance and optimize backend systems for scalability and low latency. 

- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring high availability and reliability of backend services. -

 Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to proactively identify and address potential issues. 

- Continuous Improvement: 

- Stay current with emerging cloud technologies, tools, and best practices. 

- Lead the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that improve the development process and product quality. 

- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.

Qualifications: - 

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus. -

Experience: - 5+ years of experience in backend development, with a strong focus on cloud-based environments. - Proven experience leading a team of developers or playing a key role in large-scale projects. - Deep expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 

- Extensive experience in backend development ,building and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices.

-- The present backend system and services are built on Node.JS hence experience on Node.js will be great.

Experience with other backend languages like JAVA/Python/C# will be beneficial.

- Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and server-less architecture.

 Skills: 

- Proficient in programming languages such as NodeJS, Python, Java, C#, or Go.

 - Strong knowledge of database management systems (SQL and NoSQL).

- Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.

 - Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. 

 - Strong communication and leadership skills. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

- Experience with real-time data processing and distributed systems. - Knowledge of cloud security practices and tools. 

- Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect). 

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
