Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Production Engineer. The Production Engineer will be responsible for daily production tasks, including production planning, quality control, and applying analytical skills to improve processes. Effective communication skills are essential in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Job Title: Senior Production Engineer - Drone Manufacturing Facility
Reports to: Top Management
Responsibilities:
- Engage, empower, and execute within the leadership framework.
- Independently execute composite prototype manufacturing processes and assembly.
- Supervise technicians, schedule jobs, and ensure timely deliverables meeting all quality requirements.
- Collaborate with industrialization and engineering departments on new UAV types, modifications, and technical transfer projects.
- Lead the design of tools, jigs, fixtures, and QC check boards for manufacturing.
- Ensure engineering operations are conducted within budget and recommend cost-reducing measures.
- Coordinate with suppliers for new component designs according to product specifications.
- Maintain engineering documents and update revised documents in coordination with the engineering design team.
- Create supporting documents for technology transfer and mass production, including tools and drawings.
- Maintain shop floor discipline, adhere to 5S and safety standards, and oversee operator training and development.
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- 5 years of experience in NPD (aerospace).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a composites process shop floor.
Essential Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of composite manufacturing processes and tool manufacturing.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of aerospace structures.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD software and 2D drafting.
- Knowledge of power tools, hand tools, and metrology tools.
- Ability to read and interpret aircraft engineering drawings.
- Organized and dedicated work culture.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
