Job Title: Inventory Executive

Department: Operations/Logistics/Supply Chain

Summary:

The inventory executive is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient management of inventory levels, storage, and movement of goods within a warehouses & storage facility. This role involves maintaining inventory records, coordinating stock movements, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the supply chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Control:
  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Correctly record inventory transactions using manual or computerized inventory management systems.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or excesses.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste, obsolescence, and shrinkage.
  • Participate in regular stock takes and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Stock Management:
  • Organize and store goods in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space utilization and accessibility.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly warehouse environment.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of goods to prevent damage or deterioration.
  • Coordinate the movement of inventory within the warehouse, including picking, packing, and dispatching orders.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, stock movements, and adjustments.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, stock turnover, and other relevant metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of inventory forecasts
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing, sales, and production, to ensure smooth inventory flow.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding inventory matters.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes and procedures.
  • Contribute to the implementation of new technologies and systems to enhance inventory control.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; relevant certifications in inventory management or supply chain logistics are a plus.
  • Experience: Proven experience working in an inventory control or warehouse environment.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and databases.
  • Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform warehouse tasks, such as lifting and moving goods.



Additional Requirements:

  • May require working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, depending on business needs.
  • May involve operating warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks (appropriate training and certification may be required).
