Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3-4 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms. (React Native, React, PHP, Rest API, Web Sockets, Node.js, PHP, Codeignitor)
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or Bachelors in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Knowledge and experience in information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking and data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile development.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience with additional cloud services and DevOps practices.
  • Background in mobile development beyond React Native.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or community involvement.

Our goal is to disrupt the future of the heavy equipment industry by creating a fully aggregated 360-degree digital platform.


Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Full Stack Engineer with EQUIP9. The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for handling day-to-day tasks related to back-end and front-end web development, software development, and full-stack development. We are seeking a seasoned Full-Stack Developer with a strong background at least in React Native and Node.js. The ideal candidate will have a passion for solving complex problems using design patterns and modern technologies. You will be responsible for driving the development of our cutting-edge product, implementing new features, and optimizing existing functionalities.


As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to EQUIP9’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities, and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full stack as we continue to push technology forward.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain mobile applications using React Native.
  • Implement server-side logic and APIs using Node.js.
  • Knows the concepts of web technologies.
  • Design and optimize database structures in DynamoDB and MySQL.
  • Integrate real-time data processing with Kafka and AWS Lambda.
  • Implement push notifications, real-time chat functionalities, and dynamic feeds.
  • Utilize ElasticSearch for efficient search and filtering capabilities.
  • Mentor and groom team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any coding or design challenges.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Documenting weekly work in confluence.
  • JIRA, and daily stand-ups.
