Scope of Responsibilities
Plays a key role in the overall investment process. Responsible for originating and evaluating investment and divestment activities. Monitor the existing CE-Invests (PE) investments portfolio. Build professional network.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Business Development
- Assist in sourcing new investment opportunities in India and Southeast Asia through extensive research, analysis of scientific and market data, building industry relationships and attending industry events.
- Play an active role in deal pipeline monitoring and management and ensure that all information on current and potential investments is updated on a regular basis.
Investment Execution and Portfolio Management
- Evaluate investment opportunities and perform financial analysis, return analysis and scenario modelling
- Participate in due diligence of new opportunities, including tech, commercial, financial, tax and legal, due diligence either internally or with external advisors.
- Develop investment papers and presentations for submission to the Investment Committee and to the Executive Board
- Participate in deal structuring, including defining and negotiating transaction terms
- Ensure all agreed commercial and financial terms are reflected in the transaction documents.
- Regularly monitor all investments and maintain strong relationships with portfolio companies’ management and GPs/Funds and prepare regular reports to submit to the Executive Board.
- Provide strategic support to CE-Invests’ portfolio companies and work closely with senior management teams to ensure the delivery of the required support
- Support all transaction work related to divestitures, including preparing all required information, investment decks, negotiating deal terms, etc.
Minimum Educational, Qualifications/Certifications Required
- A bachelor’s degree in a finance or economic discipline from a top-tier university.
- A CFA, or an MBA from a globally recognised business school preferred
Minimum Professional Experience Required
A Senior Associate/Associate level Investment Banking / Private Equity Specialist. Minimum of 6 to 8 years of professional experience in investment banking / principal investments / private equity with a must of 4 years of relevant investment experience in India.
