In India, JDF supports several healthcare programs including Tuberculosis, Rheumatology, Maternal and Neonatal Health, and Eye Care Initiative. Our initiatives are implemented in collaboration with government hospitals, academic institutions, and local partners.


About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and organized Social Worker to join our Delhi-based office. This position will involve working across multiple healthcare initiatives—primarily Tuberculosis and Rheumatology programs—to support patient engagement, access to care, and coordination with treatment centers. The role requires field travel (approx. 50%) to government hospitals and patient homes in and around Delhi.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support TB and Rheumatology patients with treatment adherence, follow-up, and emotional counseling.
  • Help patients apply for government and non-government aid programs (state and central).
  • Conduct structured follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
  • Research and document available patient assistance schemes and entitlements by state and central governments.
  • Coordinate logistics and field operations for multiple ongoing projects.
  • Engage with healthcare providers, hospital staff, and local authorities to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Maintain records, generate progress reports, and support program documentation.


Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, or related field.
  • Graduates from premier institutes such as TISS, PHFI, or equivalent are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • 2–4 years of experience in healthcare-related social work or public health programs.
  • Comfortable with regular travel within Delhi and surrounding regions.
