We are seeking an accomplished Senior Backend Developer with a strong expertise in Node.js to join our talented engineering team. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance backend services that power our applications. You should have extensive experience in building robust APIs, optimizing database queries, and deploying scalable solutions using Node.js and related technologies.


Responsibilities:


  • Architect and develop backend services using Node.js, Express.js, and related frameworks.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs for various functionalities of our applications.
  • Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
  • Implement data storage solutions and database schema designs (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and provide timely resolutions.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to improving development processes and best practices.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend software development.
  • Extensive proficiency in Node.js and JavaScript.
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with building and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Solid knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling principles.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in using version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Previous experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Knowledge of GraphQL and related technologies.
  • Experience with performance optimization techniques and tools.
  • Active participation in the Node.js or JavaScript developer community.
