Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Azure API Gateway Management and Integration Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, developing, and managing API gateways using Azure services. This role requires proficiency in .NET, Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, and ARM templates, along with a strong understanding of security protocols and CI/CD processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • API Gateway Management: Design, develop, and manage RESTFUL API gateways using Azure API Management services.
  • Integration Development: Implement integration solutions using .NET, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Infrastructure as Code: Utilize Azure CLI, Bicep, and ARM templates for infrastructure deployment and management.
  • Security Implementation: Implement security protocols including OAUTH, OpenID Connect, HTTPS, and TLS to ensure secure API communications. Also, Implement role-based access control (RBAC) for developers and consumers.
  • Performance Optimization: Enforce policies for rate limiting, throttling, and IP whitelisting to prevent abuse and manage traffic effectively.
  • CI/CD Pipelines: Deploy APIs using CI/CD pipelines integrated with automated monitoring and alert systems.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Implement automated testing protocols to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and ensure successful implementation.
  • Maintenance and Updates: Create a roadmap for continuous API optimization and updates that aligns with vendor changes and business needs.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to API gateway management and integration.


Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in .NET, Python, PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, and ARM templates.
  • Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of OAUTH, OpenID Connect, HTTPS, and TLS protocols.
  • API Management: Expertise with Azure API Management best practices like General Naming Standards, Versioning and Resource Path Sharing.
  • CI/CD Experience: Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and deployment issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


Preferred Skills:

  • API Development and deployment on cloud environments, preferably Azure APIM.
  • Sound knowledge and hands on experience of implementing robust Authentication and Authorization mechanisms in Azure like OAUTH 2.0, OpenID Connect etc.,
  • Implement automated testing protocols to ensure consistent performance and reliability.
  • Experience with rate limiting, throttling, and IP address whitelisting.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and deployment best practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
