Job Title: Liaisoning Manager – Renewable Energy Projects

Location: Bhubaneswar

Reports To: BU Head

Job Summary:

The Liaisoning Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with government agencies, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure smooth approvals, permits, and compliance for renewable energy projects. The role demands in-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks, effective communication skills, and the ability to negotiate and resolve issues promptly.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Regulatory Approvals and Compliance:
  • Obtain necessary clearances, permits, and approvals from government authorities for renewable energy projects (e.g., land acquisition, environmental clearances, power purchase agreements).
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies related to renewable energy.
  1. Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as a point of contact between the company and government bodies, regulatory authorities, and community representatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate project development and operations.
  1. Documentation and Reporting:
  • Prepare, review, and submit applications, proposals, and reports to regulatory agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications, agreements, and approvals.
  1. Project Coordination:
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., project managers, engineers, legal) to align project goals with regulatory requirements.
  • Address any issues or obstacles that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  1. Policy Advocacy and Updates:
  • Stay updated on policy changes, government incentives, and subsidies related to renewable energy.
  • Advocate for company interests in public forums or meetings with policymakers.
  1. Conflict Resolution:
  • Resolve disputes related to land acquisition, local communities, or regulatory concerns.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements to ensure mutual satisfaction and project continuity.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5-10 years in liaisoning roles, preferably in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
  • Skills Required:
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy regulations and policies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Proficient in documentation, MS Office tools, and report preparation.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with large-scale solar, wind, or hydropower projects.
  • Familiarity with land acquisition processes and local laws.
  • Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and deadlines simultaneously.
