Having skilled and placed over 500,000 youth, mostly from remote rural areas of East & North East India, the team has built expertise in vocational education, training delivery & migration support to ensure placement of youth in entry level blue collar organized sector jobs across industrial belts of Coimbatore, Tirupur, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Gujarat, Rajasthan, NCR, Haryana etc. 


The industry verticals span GTVET is focused on technology enabled further education of blue-collar workers with over 100 clients in the manufacturing, services & logistics sectors. In addition GTVET offers workforce solutions to the industry (Recruitment, Contract staffing, Gig hiring, Apprenticeships, Payroll, Legal Compliance etc.) and also offers competency mapping & industrial training solutions for their blue / grey collar workers.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Learning & Development and Academics at Lernern India based out of Delhi. You will be responsible for shaping and executing our academic and training strategy in alignment with the company's mission. This role requires a deep understanding of the Educational regulatory environment, including UGC/AICTE guidelines, NEP 2020, NCrF, and the National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) and an ability to develop new programs and courses for Lernern within the regulatory environment in collaboration with Industry requirements.


The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in education management, curriculum development, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a strategic plan for academic and training programs, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and regulatory requirements; Stay informed about regulatory changes and educational trends to adapt and enhance our offerings accordingly.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & University Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with educational institutions, industry partners, and regulatory bodies; Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and regulatory discussions.
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement curricula that comply with NEP 2020, NCrF, and NSQF standards; Collaborate with industry experts to ensure curriculum relevance and effectiveness.
  • Program Management: Oversee the delivery and evaluation of academic programs and training modules, ensuring adherence to quality and compliance standards. Utilize feedback and performance data to continuously improve program effectiveness.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all academic programs and training initiatives comply with NEP 2020, NCrF, and NSQF requirements; Develop and implement policies and procedures to address regulatory and quality assurance standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of academic professionals, trainers, and instructional designers; Promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance practices to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of academic and training programs; Address and resolve any issues related to program delivery and learner outcomes.
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget for academic and training programs, ensuring optimal use of resources.


Qualifications

  • Master's degree is a must, Technical Domain is preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the education sector - teaching and/or admin
  • Minimum 3 years experience in skill development/Edtech sector
  • Experience in designing and implementing skill integrated, vocational education programs
  • Understanding of NEP 2020, NCrF, QP/NOSs, Qualification Frameworks
  • Hands on knowledge and experience in educational programs and curriculum development
  • Ability to collaborate with industry partners and Universities & academic institutions
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
