Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Precious Metals Expert, with a primary focus on gold, to play a pivotal role in our team. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of the global gold markets and precious metals trading, requiring expertise in both the technical and fundamental aspects of commodity markets. You will be responsible for making strategic decisions related to gold bullion acquisitions, sales, hedging, and trading, with a keen eye on supply-demand dynamics, market timing, and global economic conditions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Gold Market Analysis:
  • Monitor and analyze global gold price movements, including macroeconomic indicators, geopolitical events, and central bank activities that influence gold demand and supply.
  • Track and assess the impact of currency fluctuations (DXY), interest rates, inflation trends, and financial market shifts on precious metals, with a focus on the U.S. dollar’s inverse correlation to gold.
  • Trading Strategy Development:
  • Develop and execute short, medium, and long-term trading strategies for gold bullion, leveraging advanced technical analysis (Fibonacci retracements, trendlines, moving averages) and charting techniques (Smart Money Concepts, candlestick patterns).
  • Utilize commodity-specific tools and risk management techniques such as futures contracts, options, swaps, and hedging strategies to mitigate risk and maximize profitability.
  • Global Supply Chain & Sourcing:
  • Oversee and optimize gold bullion sourcing strategies, ensuring compliance with ethical sourcing standards and maintaining strong relationships with refineries, miners, and key stakeholders in the supply chain.
  • Track shifts in physical demand for gold from global markets, with a focus on large consumers such as China, India, and emerging markets.
  • Market Sentiment & Risk Analysis:
  • Anticipate shifts in risk-on/risk-off sentiment within global markets and their impact on gold’s role as a safe-haven asset.
  • Analyze investor sentiment, positioning, and fund flows into gold ETFs, mining stocks, and other investment vehicles.
  • Stay ahead of technological advancements like blockchain's influence on gold trading and the role of digital gold tokens.
  • Advisory & Client Interaction:
  • Provide expert insights and advisory services to clients on gold bullion investment opportunities, portfolio diversification, and risk management.
  • Collaborate closely with institutional clients, wealth managers, and corporate investors to tailor strategies aligned with their specific investment goals.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting:
  • Prepare in-depth reports and daily/weekly market commentaries, covering all aspects of the gold market, from technical chart patterns to central bank policies, inflation forecasts, and demand trends.
  • Regularly present findings and strategic recommendations to upper management and key stakeholders, contributing to overall business decision-making.


Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in gold and precious metals trading or related fields, with a proven track record of high-level market analysis and execution of profitable strategies.
  • Skills:
  • Deep understanding of gold bullion markets, including futures, spot trading, and physical gold.
  • Proficient in advanced technical analysis (Smart Money Concepts, Fibonacci, Elliott Wave, and more).
  • Strong grasp of fundamental factors affecting precious metals, from central bank holdings to international macroeconomics.
  • Experience with trading platforms, risk management tools, and a solid foundation in hedging and derivative strategies.
  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commodities, or related fields. Certifications in commodities trading or market analysis (e.g., CFA, Series 3, etc.) are highly valued.
  • Attributes:
  • Passion for global financial markets, particularly gold and precious metals.
  • Strong communication and advisory skills, capable of breaking down complex market data for both clients and internal teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with a proactive approach to market analysis and trading strategy adjustments.
