Your Mission (Should You Choose to Accept It)
What You'll Be Doing
- Robust Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services that support dynamic content generation and delivery for client websites.
- Optimize Data Workflows: Streamline data processing workflows to ensure high performance and low latency.
- Database Management: Implement and manage database solutions, focusing on vector databases for efficient resource retrieval.
- Data Pipelines: Develop and maintain data pipelines to scrape and ingest data from websites and other public domain sources, storing it efficiently in vector databases.
- Seamless Integration: Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration and data flow.
- Infrastructure Security and Scalability: Ensure the security, scalability, and reliability of the backend infrastructure.
- Continuously enhance our engineering processes, tools, and systems to scale our codebase, boost productivity, and support team growth.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role
- Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Node.js or Python
- Experience with designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Strong understanding of database management, particularly with vector databases
- Experience in building data pipelines for scraping and ingesting data from various sources
- Work with the founders and customers to turn product ideas into engineering solutions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
What Would Be Awesome
- Experience with B2B tools or SaaS products, ideally at an early stage company
- Familiarity with front-end technologies to facilitate better collaboration with frontend developers
- Knowledge of modern build tools and version control systems like Git
- Experience with AWS cloud services
- Understanding of security best practices for backend development
- Track record of shipping high-quality products at scale
