CFD Engineer (Aerodynamic or Aerospace) Min 2 yrs of industrial exp.


Role Overview:


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Engineer with industry-relevant experience. As a CFD Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in industrial applications, product testing, and quality assurance of our state-of-the-art solver, . This position emphasizes collaboration as you will interface with multiple development teams – effective communication via many different channels across different time zones (US and Europe), is a must. You will be exposed to a wide variety of CFD applications, methods, and workflows and your work will contribute to development, education, support, sales, and marketing initiatives.


Requirements:


  • A master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related field with an emphasis on Computational Fluid Dynamics.
  • Knowledge of and experience applying industrial CFD best practices to a broad range of applications. Expertise with a variety of CFD methods is a plus, including experience with open-source and/or commercial CAD, meshing, simulation, and postprocessing software.
  • Demonstrated understanding of CFD principles, theories, and numerical methods. Apply this knowledge to simulate, analyze, and optimize fluid flow and heat transfer phenomena.
  • Proficiency in Python programming and knowledge of basics of Web technologies like REST API and Javascript.
  • Knowledge with relevant libraries for scientific computing and numerical analysis, such as NumPy, SciPy, and Matplotlib. Familiarity with version control systems (Git, SVN, etc.).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to model, simulate, and analyze complex fluid flow and heat transfer scenarios.
  • Attention to detail in conducting simulations, testing, and documentation to ensure accurate and reliable results.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and ensure thorough execution of projects, especially within deadline constraints.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment across time zones and adapt to evolving project requirements and priorities.
