Gradiant India is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic expeditor to oversee all the expediting activities for projects executed across India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of materials and equipment required for our projects. This role involves close coordination with suppliers, vendors, and the project management team to track orders, resolve issues, and maintain project schedules. Position Summary:


The Senior Accountant will oversee the daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting for the company, utilizing SAP for all financial processes. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, India, this role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.


Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using SAP.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting in compliance with Indian and the International accounting standards.

General Ledger Management:

  • Oversee and manage the general ledger within SAP, ensuring entries are accurate and complete.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.

Accounts Payable & Receivable:

  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes in SAP.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments, and follow up on outstanding receivables.

Compliance & Audit:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.
  • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and information.

Taxation:

  • Prepare and file corporate tax returns and GST filings, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations.
  • Assist in tax planning and optimization strategies.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify and implement improvements in accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging accounting standards.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Head of Finance and other departments to support overall business objectives.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accountants and other finance team members.


Qualifications:


  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years Post qualification experience.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Indian and International accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
