Role Overview

As a Web Integration Engineer at BrightEdge, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining integrations between our platform and various third-party applications, services, and enterprise systems. You'll work closely with our product team, customer success managers, and directly with clients to create robust, scalable integration solutions that enhance our platform's value and improve customer workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom API connectors that integrate BrightEdge with clients' existing systems
• Build and maintain webhooks to enable real-time data synchronization and event-driven processes
• Implement various data exchange protocols to ensure efficient and secure information transfer
• Create and maintain documentation for integration processes, APIs, and integration patterns
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related technical issues, ensuring high availability and performance
• Collaborate with customers to understand integration requirements and implement solutions
• Work with product management, engineering and support teams to develop integration roadmaps and define technical specifications
• Ensure all integrations follow security best practices and compliance requirements
• Stay current with emerging integration technologies and recommend improvements to our integration framework

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 3+ years of experience developing web-based integrations for SaaS applications
• Strong proficiency in web development technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and backend languages (Node.js, Python, or Java)
• Extensive experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and modern API authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, JWT)
• Experience implementing webhooks and event-driven architectures
• Knowledge of cloud systems integration (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Familiarity with data exchange protocols (JSON, XML, SOAP)
• Understanding of database concepts and integration patterns
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise integration patterns and middleware solutions
• Knowledge of ETL processes and data transformation techniques
• Experience with CRM, ERP, or marketing automation platform integrations
• Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with API management platforms
• Knowledge of security compliance requirements for data integrations

Work Schedule

This role requires working in alignment with US Eastern Time (EST) business hours. The working hours will be from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM IST. This schedule enables real-time collaboration with our US-based teams and customers.
