Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and design new products using SolidWorks software.
  • Create detailed design specifications, CAD models, and engineering drawings for product components and assemblies.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and analysis to evaluate design concepts and ensure manufacturability.
  • Participate in design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and problem-solving activities to address design challenges and optimize product performance.
  • Work closely with manufacturing and production teams to ensure designs meet quality standards and are cost-effective to produce.
  • Generate documentation and technical reports to communicate design specifications and recommendations.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in CAD software and design methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field.
  • Proven experience in product design and development using SolidWorks software.
  • Strong proficiency in CAD modeling, drafting, and simulation techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

Skills:

  • SolidWorks: Proficient in creating detailed 3D models and engineering drawings.
  • Design Engineering: Developing innovative and functional product designs.
  • CAD Modeling: Creating complex assemblies and components using SolidWorks.
  • Problem-Solving: Analyzing issues and finding creative solutions to design challenges.
  • Collaboration: Working effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

Preferred:

  • SolidWorks certification.
  • Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) software.
