Description & Principal Purpose:
The Business Development Specialist, Electronics (BDS) will have responsibilities in all areas of supporting the growth of ZEISS’s microscopy solutions in the Semiconductor and Electronics market segment in India The BDS will work extensively within a networked regional and global team to support in defining and executing regional go-to-market strategy and directly promote ZEISS’s microscopy portfolio and solutions in the semiconductor industry. The primary responsibilities of the BDS (Electronics, India) is to work with the Business Development Manager (Electronics, India) to guide India to profitable growth.
This includes:
• Identify and create access to new customers and support new projects with existing key customers together with local sales organizations in India
• Provide insights into industry needs, trends and identify gaps in existing portfolio and new technologies to serve customer needs and workflows
• Take a leading role in producing technical documents such as presentations and flyers to support regional marketing and sales efforts
• Become a leading regional expert in ZEISS microscopy portfolio & its applications
• Driving the development of relevant application solutions and use-case based marketing material with existing portfolio while working with regional application specialist team
• Attend and deliver technical presentations at conferences, exhibitions, technical review meetings and customer focused marketing events The BDS also serves as an India regional contact for Business Sectors (Electronics), for alignment of global and regional strategies, market intelligence and competition landscape information sharing, regional launching and training of new microscopy products, and optimization of sales tools (sales manuals, training materials and product battle sheets) which are tailored to the needs of the local sales organizations.

• India RMS Electronics order intake and revenue
• India RMS Electronics Funnel development and growth
• Number of marketing activities planned and executed
• Number of new application assets developed (presentations, flyers etc.)
Requirements
• Master’s degree or higher, in Engineering, Science, Physics or relevant field of studies
• Experience in Semiconductor/Electronics product development / Failure Analysis using SEM, FIB or other microscopy techniques is a must
• Strong network in the semiconductor and electronics community is preferred
• Experience in strategic product marketing or sales experience with hi-tech instrumentation is a plus
• Excellent communicator of technical information
• Team player, good communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel in India countries needed
• Understand and act accordingly culture related behaviour internally and externally i
1. Support BDM Electronics, India for regional strategic planning and execution, marketing activities and sales content development
2. Review the electronics and semiconductor market to identify new trends, customer requirements and opportunities
3. Discuss and initiate activities to address market opportunities with global sector marketing team and India sales organizations
4. Support local sales organizations with customer focused marketing activities and technical review meetings with key accounts
5. Identify and create access to new customers and support new projects with existing key customers together with local sales organaizations in India
6. Work with Regional Marketing Manager to plan and support regional marketing activities
7. Go-to-Market planning and launching of new microscopy products in India region
8. Attend and deliver technical presentations, conferences, exhibitions, technical review meeting and customer focused marketing events
9. Work with regional application specialist team to develop new application content and use case materials for marketing
10. Develop and tailor marketing materials such as presentations, flyers and social media content to address and communicate ZEISS’ solutions to Electronics market sub-segments
11. Adapt and optimized global sales tools documents (sales manuals, training materials and product battle sheet) and tailor them to local India requirement
12. Review of competitor technology, messaging and new technology for core products
13. Promote teamwork within and across India and generate opportunities for social bonding across India PASS team
