Role: Cybersecurity Architect Consultant
Location: Remote
Duration: 3-6 months
Weekly Hours: Minimum 25 hours
Experience: Minimum of 14 years in cybersecurity.
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect Consultant to enhance our client's network security infrastructure. The focus is on implementing a well-structured and efficient computer network that adheres to the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model. The ideal candidate will have substantial hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust cybersecurity measures across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
● Network Segmentation:
Ø Creation and management of Virtual Local Area Networks (VLANs).
● Perimeter Defense:
Ø Installation and configuration of next-generation firewalls.
Ø Recommended Products: Cisco Firepower 4100 series and Cisco Firepower 9000 series.
● Identity and Access Management:
Ø Implementation of Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
Ø Recommended Version: Cisco ISE 2.6.
● Endpoint Protection:
Ø Deployment of Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) or Extended Detection and Response (XDR) solutions for servers and computers.
● Web Security:
Ø Protection against web attacks using ZScaler secure internet platform or Symantec Advanced Secure Gateway (ASG).
● Insider Threat Protection:
Ø Implementation of Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions, covering Discover, Protect, Monitor, and Prevent modules.
● Web Application Security:
Ø Deployment of web application firewalls such as F5 BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM).
Qualifications
● Experience:
Ø Minimum of 14 years in cybersecurity.
Ø Proven experience in leading 4-5 full project life cycles with similar scopes.
● Skills:
Ø Extensive knowledge of network security protocols and OSI model.
Ø Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco security products.
Ø Expertise in EDR/XDR solutions, web security platforms, and DLP systems.
Ø Ability to recommend and implement scalable security solutions with minimal downtime.
● Certifications:
Ø Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Cisco Security certifications) are highly desirable.
Additional Information
Ø Contract Type: Part-time contract role.
Ø Availability: Must be available for at least 25 hours per week.
Ø Project Timeline: 3-6 months.
